Celebrations as Osograms Clocks 70 Years

On August 10, 2020, Osogbo Grammar School, Osogbo, celebrates 70 years of its founding. Celebration bells are ringing across the world as alumni associations remember the great school. From major cities in Nigeria to the United Kingdom, United States and Canada, old students have been in a festive mode, although full 70th anniversary could hold yet because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Minimal activities include modification of school premises, radio and TV announcements and a small celebration at the school  marked with socio-distancing rules.

Trees will be planted at the school to mark the anniversary. Tagged 70th Anniversary Trees, they would be planted by the Old Students national leadership. Apart from marking the anniversary, tree planting is done to protect the environment according to the Sustainable Development Goal  of the United Nations.

Actual celebrations are postponed until 2021.
