Osograms alumnus, Professor Michael Olufisayo Ologunde, has become the Vice-Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
Professor Ologunde, an active old student, was born in Ajagunlaase, Olaoluwa Local Government, Osun State to the family of James Olagboye Ologunde some six decades ago. He started schooling at All Saints Primary School but later finished up at CAC Primary school, Latona, Osogbo, from where he proceeded to Osogbo Grammar School, Osogbo, for his West Africa Examination School and HSC certificates.
His number one agenda would be to run an all inclusive government where everybody has a say and get people to own the LAUTECH project, barring industrial strike in the five years that the law permits him to be in charge. He is going to work assiduously to ensure that workers are paid as at when due, to create an avenue where students and workers find no reason to be out of classes, except when on holiday.
Ologunde pledged to be proactive in management and maintain cordial relationship with the national executives of the students and staff union and association, as well as religious elders and groups, while focusing on effective utilisation of the committee on religious harmony.
