Osogbo Grammar School Old Students Association, North American Branch, have honored the First Senior Prefect. Retired Colonel S. S. Adejoro and eminent Old Student, Pa Remi Akinlade. In awarding them the "Most Inspiration Leader," the two trailblazers were praised for being worthy role models for the alumni. 

The award to Pa Akinlade was personally delivered by Pastor Ajiboye Adeleke to mark the sage's 80th birthday in Nigeria. Pa Akinlade was humble in his appreciation. He wrote: "I acknowledge (the gift) delivered to me by your President, Pastor Adeleke, together with the “inspirational” plaque presented to me on your behalf by his lovely wife and himself right in my parlour. I am overwhelmed by your display of love and honour showered on me. It is amazing that time has had no fading effect on the pleasant interaction we had together at OGS. The Lord will remember each and everyone of you and your families for good. He will recompense this gesture of yours bountifully beyond your expectations. You will all live long and prosper in good health. Your offspring will be a fountain of unbroken joy while you savour their well being. I am humbled and cannot say thank you sufficiently, but the Lord God I AM THAT I AM, omnipotent, omniscience, omnipresent will THANK YOU IN HIS DIVINE WAY through our Lord Jesus Christ.
